St. John's

RAAZ is an all-female South Asian Dance Team established in 2002 by St. John’s students as an instrument to express their passion for dance. RAAZ encompasses many different styles of dance such as Indian Classical/Semi-Classical, Modern/Contemporary, Bhangra, as well as Hip-Hop and Bollywood.

 

Our purpose is to promote cultural awareness and unity of the diverse styles of dance, complex techniques, and ageless beauty of South Asian dance. RAAZ has performed and competed at various universities and events throughout the North East, representing the University, South Asian culture and female dancers as a whole.

 

“RAAZ" originates from the Hindi word meaning “secret."  Embrace your senses and join us on this journey as we unveil our RAAZ. Your love and support encourages and motivates us to perform bigger and better!
